When faced with a terrible tragedy, finding people who have been through the same thing can provide comfort and hope. Members of the UK Missing Persons Chorus have lost children or loved ones.
They encourage each other and explain that singing together makes them stronger and is “good for the soul”. Members of the choir recently auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent to spread their message and judges, including Simon Cowell, were blown away by the choir’s performance and positive message.

“I Miss You”, written by one of the choir members, Peter Boxell, is sung by the choir. Peter’s 15-year-old son disappeared after a football match in South London in 1988. Peter still hopes that he will see his son again.
After they finish, all the judges are impressed and many people in the audience are in tears.
