The whole point of the reality show The Masker Singer is to surprise the judges and the audience. But when controversial political figure Rudy Giuliani, 77, was revealed to be one of the stars behind one of the masks, judge Ken Jeong could not believe it – so he stormed off the stage in a sour mood as a sign of protest against the prominent Republican known for supporting everything Trump did.

Because Jeong, a liberal, does not support Trump or his crony, Giuliani, he walked off the sound stage of The Masked Singer when the former mayor of New York City showed himself as one of the singers hiding behind a mask. For those who are not aware, the Fox show encourages celebrities to go on stage to perform various songs – all while wearing an intricate mask that completely hides their identity. Judges are supposed to try to identify who is hiding behind the masks through their stage performances on the program.
Jeong was a judge on the show along with Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger, and Jenny McCarthy. Giuliani took a break from his political aspirations to “have some fun” on The Masked Singer, where he dressed up as the Jack in the Box and performed George Thorogood’s hit song “Bad to the Bone.”

When Rudy Giuliani took off his mask, he had a big smile on his face as he revealed his true identity. While Jeong was furious to see Trump’s former personal lawyer, the two female judges on the Fox show were absolutely delighted because they were totally surprised that Giuliani was the man behind the Jack in the Box mask.
However, Jeong crossed his arms and looked quite upset at seeing Giuliani behind the mask. He then stormed off the set, declaring, “I’m done!”
It was also reported that Fox edited out Robin Thicke walking off the stage, too. However, the two female judges cheered Giuliani on as he sang through the final chorus of the Thorogood hit, singing it entirely off-key in his iconic voice.
It appears that Jeong did not storm off set immediately upon seeing who was behind the mask. Instead, his emotions stewed for a while before he left the stage.
Meanwhile, the show’s host Nick Cannon tried to keep things pleasant when Giuliani was revealed.
“It surprises us all that you’re here on The Masked Singer,” Cannon said.
“This is definitely something I would never have guessed,” added Robin Thicke.
Giuliani had so much fun on the show. He said he accepted the spot on the show because his granddaughter suggested that “you should try everything, even things that are completely unlike you and unlikely. And I couldn’t think of anything more unlike me and unlikely than this.”
What do you think about Giuliani on The Masked Singer? Were you able to guess that he was behind the mask?
